KBVC Technicians

At KBVC, the technical staff is crucial to our ability to provide high quality, compassionate patient care to every animal we see, every day. All the technicians at KBVC are licensed or license eligible.

Many have specialty training resulting in board certifications and advanced degrees. We provide continuing education to keep our staff of technicians at the forefront of the field. KBVC technicians are therefore qualified to carry out many procedures required for delivering cutting edge medicine, including venipuncture and cytsocentesis, administration of medication, maintenance of intravenous fluid therapy, and radiology. In addition, catheters are placed, patients are prepared for surgery and anesthesia is monitored during surgical procedures.

They use their specialty skills to perform CT scans, dental procedures and assist with endoscopic procedures. KBVC technicians are vigilant morning, noon and night, alerting our doctors to the smallest change in demeanor of a patient and to any change in vital signs.

KBVC Assistants

Our assistants here at KBVC are the foundation of the hospital, spending about 3 months in a supervised training program to provide the standard of care we demand for our patients. The technicians and doctors rely on them to keep the hospital clean and organized, stocked and most importantly, to help them with patient care. The patients really love their attention! Many of our assistants are specialty trained, studying to become technicians and a few are even attending Veterinary school.

They are a dedicated part of the hospital staff, eager to work in the animal health field and help provide the best pet care possible.
