June 2007: BrightHeart and KBVC support Tower of Hope, NEADS grad

On June 26, Dr. Alan Green, Director of Practice Management for BrightHeart, attended the graduation in Boston of the NEADS/Tower of Hope Summer 2007 Class. NEADS is a group that trains and provides animals for the deaf and disabled. The graduates were all best in class examples of assistance animals trained for specific owners with skills and sensitivities specially attuned to their needs. BrightHeart’s first sponsored trainee, a black labrador retriever named Nolls, was presented to Joe Keck, who was wounded in Iraq.

BrightHeart Veterinary Centers and KBVC, support The Tower of Hope, whose mission is to empower people who are living with a disability, a chronic illness, or have been in an abusive relationship to live happier and more independent lives through specially trained service and assistance animals.
