May 2009: Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center Once Again Offers Free Eye Exams to Service Dogs
For the second consecutive year, Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center and SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center, both members of the BrightHeart Veterinary Network, have teamed up with The American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists® and Merial for the National Service Dog Eye Exam event, May 4 – 8, 2009. This endeavor provides free sight-saving eye exams to service dogs throughout Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, New York and Connecticut. More
April 2009: KBVC a Gold Sponsor of SPCA of Westchester Wags and Whiskers Walkathon and Pet Fair
It was an unusually warm Spring day at FDR Park in Yorktown as the SPCA of Westchester held another successful Walkathon and Pet Fair. Much needed funds were raised, kids and grownups had fun and pets were adopted. KBVC was pleased to be on hand for the event where we gave advice, hopefully helpul literature, and were even able to address several minor emergencies, perhaps due to the heat. May 2008: Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center Offers Free Eye Exams to Service Dogs
To help dogs that help others, Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center offered free eye screening exams to certified service dogs from May 12th through May 17th. The service was offered in conjunction with the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology's National Service Dog Eye Exam program. More
June 2007: KBVC at Bark in the Park
KBVC was present in a big way at the Bark in the Park event held in June at the Cedar Lane Dog Park in Ossinning. Our director, David Sachs led a contingent from KBVC armed with helpful insight, caring words and information for pet owners who came out in support of the Friends of Cedar Lane Dog Park. More
June 2007: BrightHeart and KBVC Support Tower of Hope, NEADS Grad
BrightHeart and KBVC, support The Tower of Hope, whose mission is to empower people who are living with a disability, a chronic illness, or have been in an abusive relationship to live happier and more independent lives through service and assistance animals. Members of the BrightHeart/KBVC management team attended the graduation of our first sponsored service dog at a ceremony held in Boston, in cooperation with NEADS, a group that trains and provides animals for the deaf and disabled.
